RAPIDCOLL

Two-component, highly thixotropic adhesive paste, based on solvent-free epoxy resins, hardened with modified amine compounds.

Fields of application

Grouting on locally degraded concrete

Structural bonding of elements of different nature such as concrete, brick, stone, iron, wood, etc.

Structural reinforcement of concrete structures by coupling with steel.

Bonding, bedding and fixing of various parts.

General Features

Very good mechanical resistance.

High adhesion.

Hardening with no shrinkage.

Inalterable over time, good chemical resistance.

Excellent workability.

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be healthy, clean, free of loose parts and cement grout.

The adhesion is enhanced by a marked surface roughness so that for particular applications it is possible to resort to sandblasting, bush-hammering, milling and/or rigorous brushing of the support.

The presence of water reduces adhesion, so wet substrates must be adequately dried with air or flame.

Preparation/Application

Pour component "B" into component "A" and mix for at least 5 minutes by hand or with a low speed mechanical stirrer (electric drill). Remove the material also along the walls and corners of the packaging.

Apply RAPIDCOLL with an American or toothed spatula, trowel or other tool, in thicknesses of 2-4 mm.

Respect the time of use.

Join the elements to be glued as soon as possible and keep them pressed until the polymer has hardened.

Times of Use

After mixing, the hardening reaction between the two components begins; use the product immediately, otherwise it will become unusable.

The processing time, i.e. the time for which the product, mixed in the container, can still be used, depends on the mass and the ambient temperature.

The processing times for our packs at different ambient temperatures are given below.

The minimum temperature of hardening is +5°C The RAPIDCOLL is also available in two versions with differentiated catalysis. The version with the lowest curing speed for temperatures between +15 and +35°C, the quick version for temperatures between +5 and +20°C.

Employment ratio Valid for both L-type (slow) and R-type (fast)

"A" = 100 (parts by weight)

"B" = 50 (parts by weight)

Packs

The RAPIDCOLL is supplied in the following packages:

A + B = Kg 6

A + B = Kg 12

Storage

RAPIDCOLL, in original and sealed packages, remains unchanged for at least one year, stored in an enclosed and protected place and at a temperature of 15-30°C.

Hygienic Precautions

Do not ingest.

Epoxy resins can cause irritation.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

For the protection of the skin during work, it is advisable to use Turexan type creams and, after work, nutritional creams.

Wear safety goggles and gloves.

In case of contamination, wash immediately with soap and water. Do not wash with solvents.

Splashes in the eyes should be immediately treated with running water and then consult a physician.

Product residues and empty packaging must be disposed of in accordance with the regulations in force.
